You Are & Have ENOUGH!
Define your sense of enough to avoid unnecessary burden on your soul

You are ENOUGH and you already have ENOUGH, let me repeat that: YOU ALREADY have enough! YOU ARE ENOUGH!
If you have a roof over your head, food to eat, good health to enjoy the food, clothes to cover your nakedness etc ,YOU ALREADY have enough because you are better off than billions that walk this same earth as you.
Enough already about wanting more and more than your life can contain, while depleting your soul and shrinking your spirit. What is the point of eating all you can, then wanting to diet to lose the weight; your purse/wallet/bank account gets leaner while your waist gets thicker? Then you go out and toil some more to beef up your finances, only to go out and eat some more to beef up your flesh! What a nasty vicious cycle we find ourselves in, just because we fail to concede that we already have ENOUGH!
Being a totally committed Christian, I am sold on the wisdom that is espoused in the book of Ecclesiastes! What is the point of toiling so that you can make more money, while not enjoying the reward of your labour as long as you are able to? If you are not a believer I still suggest that you check out that book. If that is the only book of the bible that you will read, it is well worth it. As long as you keep an open mind, you will definitely gain from the wisdom of Solomon, the writer of the book of Ecclesiastes.
I say 'live your best life each day'! Make peace with your soul, it already knows you have enough.. Enjoy each day that you get. Someone somewhere is not going to see tomorrow; if you are gifted with a new day tomorrow, make sure you get from and not simply through it! 'Today' is a gift, that is why it is called the 'present'; cherish it, enjoy it as if it were your last day on earth. It could very well be!
Now, I am not advocating that you live each day in reckless abandonment, no sireee! I am simply saying, find your own balance between living for today while future-proofing your life for tomorrow, just in case you don't die today! Ha, got ya!
Perhaps you keep telling yourself that 'life could be better', when life is already better today than it was yesterday; except that you didn't even notice! So, while you continue to sing that song as an excuse for not living your best life each day, life really does pass you by. It is those moments that you consider to be ordinary that add up to make up your lifetime; get it? You wake up on Jan 1st, promise yourself the new year will be different; you then go about your usual routine, the same one that made the previous year less-fruitful than you would have liked. You don't set goals, you don't dream. The dreams you do have come in your sleep, not your waking moments; the kind that is so silly you can't even recall it when you wake up. Then before you know it you arrive at Dec 31st of the same year, almost at the speed of lightning. If you do remember to do self-evaluation you can't even recall how you spent most of the year; remember you didn't set any goals so how can you determine whether or not you attained any of them? You were so busy being busy toiling and chasing money that you actually forgot to live. So, tell me, what is the purpose of all that wealth that you have been amassing? By the way, the last time I checked a dead person cannot spend; you cannot take that money with you when you die. Naked you came, naked you shall return. Go figure!
Whether or not you admit it, there tends to be a direct correlation between the level of your personal satisfaction or fulfillment and the principles by which you live your life. Again, I am going to borrow another wisdom snippet from the bible. If you measure your success by another person's yardstick you are likely to either come up short (and start beating yourself up) or end up with an over-inflated ego!
Let me translate; determine for yourself the yardstick by which you will measure your own achievements, this is simply because no two people have the same frame of reference. You are the product of the sum-total of your family background and life experiences; you are totally unique. Remember this phenomenon called 'DNA', well, it is the evidence that no carbon copy of you walks this earth. Add to that the personal circumstances that make you 'you', then you can deduce that there is no one on earth to whom you should compare yourself!
You might want to pop into the Mindset Clinic for consultation on how to determine if your mindset is a facilitator of or indeed an impediment to your destiny.
Life is hard enough, don't be harder on yourself by living with a mindset that makes you feel that you don't have ENOUGH, you already have ENOUGH!
